Top Five Current Issues

This Communique provides BCEEA members with an update on the work that our advisors do to support our members including the five most common issues we deal with in our day-to-day work. These five issues cover familiar ground for many excluded employees working in the BC public service including conflict and performance management, the challenges of becoming a new manager or a new to role manager, problems with obtaining and interpreting the requirements for STIIP, hiring process challenges including an increasing number of “rejection on probation cases”, and the perception that there is no support for excluded employees similar to the union protections afforded BCGEU and PEA employees. BCEEA members have resolved many of these issues successfully with help from our skilled and savvy advisors. Contact us today if you need help.
