Practicing Resilience in the Midst of Change

Based on a 2021 BCEEA workshop series, this helpful resource is designed to support leaders to actively build resilience for themselves and their teams, particularly in the midst of change and unanticipated challenges. This MyInfo Sheet focuses on understanding how our brains function under stress and using knowledge about the brain to be more resilient even in the midst of change and brings the latest neuroscience knowledge to life in a practical way. Key insights about the brain and stress, emotional intelligence, the positive role of social connections, neuroplasticity, mindfulness, empathy, compassion and hope are discussed. Practical exercises are also included along with tips for resilient leaders.
